Milonga La Ideal (May Edition), Friday 6th May.

No Tango Warwick Classes this Friday.*

It's time for the May edition of our monthly milonga.

For this, we have our resident, and brilliant DJ, Ricardo Peixoto.

We will be at home in the recently refurbished Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a good floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.

Covid test requirements (see below) will be relaxed!

There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.

We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!

It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love.

Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors and once regulars alike.

Time: 8pm to midnight.
Place: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
Cost (at door) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). In cash. Prebooking not required.

WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.3 miles away, usually inexpensive, but generally found adequate. Some swear by its breakfast.

PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.

COVID PRECAUTIONS (May 6th) In view of the reduced prevalence of covid in England we will not ask for proof of negative test. However if you have had a reasonable possibility of being infected, eg by going on public transport, or if you have any likely symptoms, please do take a test as near to the start time as possible, or do not come. It is important to realise that these precautions reduce the possibility of infection but do not remove it. Infections can cause disruption to travel plans and to vital work, as well as the possibility of long term effects, and potential stress to the NHS.

Hope to see you!
