November classes & practicas /last week's music / milongas

Luis Rodrigues & Elizabeth Knock's much appreciated classes for Tango Warwick, in Leamington Spa, continue for the remaining Fridays in November. 

The practica/ social dancing this week will have Juan de Scarfo as DJ, which together with  some cakes, soft drinks and wine, will round off an enjoyable, friendly,  and  instructive evening. If you haven't tried it before why not now on these dark nights? Usual details below.

Your  last chance to see Luis & Elizabeth in Britain this year will be on Friday 7th December when we are very pleased to have Luis as DJ for the December version of Milonga La Ideal.  Luis started to DJ when he was 14 but has focussed on dancing since he came to the UK. He nevertheless continued to develop an amazing  collection of tango music. His dedication to the music and to dancing with it, whioh together with Elizabeth's fires their teaching,  will ensure a  brilliant evening of dancing. (Tango Warwick's warm welcome will help too!)

Preceding that milonga, Luis & Elizabeth will give a class at the Falstaff Hotel, Leamington, just along the road from SPACE.  Details later.

Usual details for classes on  16th November:

  • 6.30pm to 7.30pm Beginners & Essential Tango Techniques {Please arrive  a bit before the start if you possibly can, to help  the class to begin on time.} 

  • 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm  Improvers & Essential Tango techniques 

  • 8 15 for 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm  Intermediates 

  • 9.30 (approx) to 10.30 (approx)   Practica,  DJ de Scarfo

  • Teachers:  Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock

  • Prices: 6.30pm class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with Improvers class £10 (£8). 

    Other classes £8 (£6) for one, £12 (£10) for the whole evening. Practica: Free with classes, otherwise £2 

  • WHERE: St Mary's Church 

    St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa,

    It is in the church hall next to the traditional looking church towards the south end of St Mary's Rd. There is a car park by the side of the church and when that is full there is usually ample parking on the nearby roads. Also close to bus routes.
