NEW news:

  •  We are very pleased that Kirsty Bennett has agreed to be our DJ for the June Milonga "La Ideal"

  • Plans are underway to hold Tango Warwick's July milonga, on Friday 5th July,  at the ALSO festival just south of Leamington. The ALSO festival featured on the front page of last Saturday's Travel Guardian, and is ranked among the top 20 festivals by the Guardian, and has been in their "Top 5 Festivals for the mind"  https://www.also-festival.com.                           More later!

OLD news:

  • On Friday 26th April,  Luis & Elizabeth will give us an evening of milonga classes: starting with an introduction to milonga at 6.30 suitable for anyone who has been to at least one tango class (not for absolute beginners), going on to those with some experience of milonga, and then at about 8.30 for intermediate level and above. To get the most out of it come as early as you can!  

At the end there will be a lively but gentle practica, for you to get your breath back! and to have a glass of wine or soft drink and some cake and some social dancing.

It will be a very good evening! Details below.

  • Luis & Elizabeth are often available for private, or semi-private, classes on Saturdays. Please contact them via Luisyelitango@gmail.com

  • On Friday May 3rd we start the May bankholiday on a very high note! Milonga "La Ideal"   will have live music to dance to by the wonderful Tango Calor quartet together with Mabel Gomez as DJ. Make sure your friends know about it!  It will be well worth travelling to.

  • On Friday May 10th we will welcome absolute beginners to the 6.30 class at St Mary's to begin classes and hopefully start their new life . Please spread the word around about this too. In case it is relevant we have regularly had more leaders than followers at the 6.30 class for a long time.

Details for Milonga classes April 26th:

  • 6.30pm to 7.30pm Introduction to milonga: all levels  who have done a class or two of tango {Please arrive  a bit before the start if you possibly can, to help  the class to begin on time.} 

  • 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm  Improvers  milonga 

  • 8 15 for 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm  Intermediates milonga

  • 9.30 (approx) to 10.30 (approx)   Practica.

  • Teachers:  Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock

  • Prices: 6.30pm class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with Improvers class £10 (£8). 

    Other classes £8 (£6) for one, £12 (£10) for the whole evening. Practica: Free with classes, otherwise £2.

  • WHERE: St Mary's Church 

    St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa, 

    CV31 1JW.  

    It is in the church hall next to the traditional looking church towards the south end of St Mary's Rd. There is a car park by the side of the church and when that is full there is usually ample parking on the nearby roads. Also close to bus routes.
