Calecitas & their adornments/ Ricardo Peixoto/ October Fest'tte/Diary

Calecitas: techniques, adornments, and use in social dance, will be the emphasis in Luis & Elizabeth's second & third classes this Friday, 26th July.

The first class, at 6.30, will be designed with the recently started beginners in mind, but will benefit dancers of all levels. Experienced dancers regularly join it; apart from anything else that helps to bring on the others. Permission of the teachers is required for the more advanced second & third classes.

As usual there will be the lively practica to finish off the evening, with some wine, soft drinks, and cake.

Calecitas are cool! to add to that we will have fans, and should be able to use the skylights. The white wine will be cool too :)

Booking for our October Festivalette "Tango Warwick at Warwick" with Lorena & Gaston is underway. There is a short queue of followers waiting for leaders for the workshops, but not enough to be off-putting. When the workshops are getting full we may do some rationing. Dancing at Courthouse Ballroom Friday 7.30-11.30 pm, at The Great Hall of Lord Leycester Hospital on Saturday 2.15 to 5.30 pm, and at Warwick SPACE on Saturday 8 pm -12.30 am (approx), with performance. The timing for Friday July 26th is as usual:

6.30pm to 7.30pm Beginners & Essential Tango Techniques {Please arrive a bit before the start if you possibly can, to help the class to begin on time.}

7.15 pm to 8.15 pm Improvers:Essential Techniques plus "Introduction to Calecitas: Techniques & Adornments".

8.15pm for 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm Intermediates: "Calecitas and their adornments in context."

9.30 (approx) to 10.30 (approx) Practica.

Prices: Beginners Classes £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with Improvers class £10 (£8).
