Classes & Practica with Luis & Elizabeth/ Milonga 2nd Sept with Mabel Gomez
The last tango classes & practica at St Mary's for August are this Friday 26th August. They are with our resident teachers Luis Rodrigues & Elizabeth Knock, with Juan de Scarfo as DJ for the practica. The making of an excellent evening!.
September starts off gloriously with Mabel Gomez as DJ for Milonga La Ideal on 2nd Sept at Warwick SPACE, 8pm to midnight. It continues very nicely with Friday classes & practica with Luis & Elizabeth on 9th, 16th, 23rd (milonga classes), & 30th October.
There is no Tango Spa this year, but venues & Orias are booked for the end of October 2023.

We welcome single dancers as well as couples, newcomers as well as those we haven't seen for months, irregulars and regulars alike. Summer visitors especially welcome.
Beginners should join the 6.30 pm class. Experienced dancers also join it in order to perfect their techniques, and help bring on beginners.
The 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm classes are for more experienced dancers (in Argentine Tango) -if that fits you please come-you will get a warm welcome. If in doubt ask the teachers for advice.
The evening is completed by a sociable and lively practica, with some wine, fine cordials and cake. The DJ this week is Juan de Scarfo. It will be instructive, friendly, and a very enjoyable evening's dancing.
The teachers are our superb "resident" teachers: Luis Rodriguez and Elizabeth Knock. Their emphasis on elegance and musicality and with dancing in milongas in mind has made them justly popular.

TIMING:
6.30-7.30 Fundamentals (including beginners). Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can start on time.
7.15-8.15 Fundamentals and improvers;
8.15pm for 8.30-9.30 Intermediate/Advanced ;
9.30-10.30 (approx) Practica, DJ Juan de Scarfo.

PRICES: 6.30 class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with improvers class £12 (£8)
Other classes £10 (£5) for one, £15 (£10) for the whole evening.
Practica: Free with classes otherwise £2 (£4)

WHERE: St Mary's Church Hall , St Mary's Road, Leamington Spa,CV31 1JW. There is a substantial car park for the church, on the opposite side of the church to the church hall, as well as plenty of on road parking.

Covid Precautions: we will not ask for proof of anything. However the prevalence is still high so if you have had a reasonable possibility of being infected, eg by going on public transport, or visiting a crowded pub, or if you have any likely symptoms, please do take a test as near to the start time as possible, or do not come.
