TANGO WARWICK invites you to enjoy and enhance the 2024 June edition of its monthly milonga. We are delighted to be able to welcome back the ever popular DJ Mabel Gomez to Warwick SPACE, so enjoyment will be easy; with her careful reading of the dance floor she will play music you cannot resist.
June 7th is national "Hug an Atheist Day" in the USA, but the warm tango embraces will be there for you at Warwick Space whether or not you believe in anything other than tango. Our energies will not have been dissipated by following such commandments during the day.
We will be at home in Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a decent floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.
There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
It will be the friendly, joyful, and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, regulars, and once regulars, alike. Quoting a distinguished tanguero "a lovely milonga with a barrio feel, very good and friendly social dancers and a fluid ronda."
TIME: Friday June 7th , 8pm-midnight.
PLACE: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
COST (Cash at door only) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). IN CASH. Prebooking not required.
WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels and B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.3 miles away. Some swear by its breakfast. You can now even stay in Warwick Castle grounds.
PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.

Hope to see you!
