La Milonga Ideal, glorious June edition , with Ewa Zbrzeska:

TIME: 8pm to midnight, Friday 5th June.

PLACE: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
COST (at door in cash only ) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). IN CASH. Prebooking not required.

For this edition of Tango Warwick's traditional milonga we are delighted to welcome back Ewa Zbrzeska as guest DJ. Her last time with us was for the Grand Spa Ball at the 2025 Tango Spa festival, making it a superb evening. She will ensure that the milonga will brighten, excite, amaze, and enchant your Friday evening, and light up the month to come. Come and join friendly dancers from all over the region, and beyond, in the creation of lovely dances inspired by her music. A perfect evening for the enjoyment of the glory of tango.

We will be back at our atmospheric home, Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a good floor,(recently restored), in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.

There will be some nibbles, cold soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.

We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!

It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming, and lively, milonga tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, occasionals, and regulars alike.

EWA ZBRZESKA

Ricardo Peixoto's introduction to Ewa as DJ last Tango Spa  deserves repetition:

"London-based and originally from Poland, Ewa has DJ’d at many of London’s key milongas (Corrientes, Pavadita, Carablanca, Negracha and more) and at major European events.

Ewa’s hallmark is a traditional tanda palette that shapes distinct moods and textures. Her DJing style is like a Black Forest gâteau—lush, classic layers with tart cherry surprises and a whisper of kirsch to lift all that delicious richness."

WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. Kenilworth hotels are a short drive away. You can even stay in Warwick Castle grounds.
PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (a bit cramped), or towards Warwick station. The huge St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back. [If you drop by next door at the Black Pug, and eg enjoy "Fizz Friday! Enjoy half-price fizz from 5 PM to 7 PM" they will let you park there for the evening. If their car park is not crowded and it is late they are unlikely to worry even if you don't get the fizz. ]
