Next Friday there are no classes. As the first Friday of August it is time for Tango Warwick's monthly traditional milonga:
LA MILONGA IDEAL, AUGUST EDITION, Friday 7th August, 8pm to midnight.
For the August edition of Tango Warwick's traditional milonga we will leave Warwick to its summer tourists and move a little into the nearby rural calm.
We will be in the lovely Hatton Village Hall, about 4 miles north of Warwick with easy access from A46 and M40. Not only that but we will have the superb Diego Doigneau returning as guest DJ.
Come and join us for one of those memorably wonderful evenings of tango!
TIME: 8pm to midnight, Friday 7th August
PLACE: Hatton Village Hall, Hatton, Warwickshire CV35 7LR. NOT Hatton Park Village Hall even if the map suggests it is!
PRICE: (In cash at door) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). IN CASH. Prebooking not required.
There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming, and lively milonga, tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, occasionals, and regulars alike.
DIEGO DOIGNEAU: Born in Argentina, Diego studied music and theatre in both Buenos Aires and London, where he is now based. He is sought after as DJ for major tango events in the UK and for tango festivals, milongas, and encuentros around the world. He loves the music and loves to make people dance--and they do !
HATTON VILLAGE HALL is a red brick & stone, basically one storey, building in its own car park on the east side of the Birmingham Rd, A 4177, between Hatton and Haseley. We are in the Main Hall.
Coming from M40 take A46 towards Coventry at Junction 15, take left at first junction, onto A4177/A425 roundabout, go north on Birmingham Rd past Hatton. It is not the Hatton Park Village Hall!! Go past Hatton Arms pub and continue some way. The Hall will be seen on the right, after a slight bend, in the fork made by a small road, Firs Lane, forking right. The entrance is on Firs Lane. It is easy to overshoot!
PARKING is in the capacious car park, entrance on side road, or park on a side road.
TOURISM etc. Birmingham Airport is close. There are several pleasant pubs and eating places nearby, some by canals. Plenty of accommodation can be found in Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth, or Stratford-on-Avon. My favourite National Trust property the moated Baddesley Clinton house is just a few miles away.

Hope to see you,
David, for Tango Warwick.
