Milonga "La Ideal" at Warwick Courthouse with David Thomas DJ on 3rd / Classes on 10th/ Diary

Still quite a few days of Christmas left!  On the 10th Day (when Leaping Lords are sent)  Friday 3rd,  we have our special edition of Milonga La Ideal at  the supreme elegance of the Warwick Courthouse Ballroom. It is in the centre of the tasteful decorations of historic Warwick.

We are lucky to have one of our favourite DJ’s, David Thomas, to keep us dancing from our early start at 7.30 pm ’til the 11.30 bedtime of Warwick citizens. Locally David is well remembered as an unflappable hero of Milonga ALSO, and globally for “Getting to Know: 20 Tango Orchestras” as well as for his excellence as a DJ.

To enhance the usual warm welcome and good vibes, there will be somewhat festive nibbles, and some wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish. The floor is excellent. We aim to make it a very good evening!

We are also very happy to have Einat Adato with us, bringing a selection of Balanceo tango shoes and tango dresses. Something to impress those leaping lords?

COST: £12/£8 for students with student id.

The Court House is on the main street A429 through Warwick above "Information", on the right when going East, opposite the road leading to St Mary's Church. The entrance is on the side road.

It is about 20 minutes walk from Warwick railway station, less if you go through a park. See http://www.traveline.info. Also close to M40 and A46 with its connections to M6, M69, M1 .

Parking has to be hunted for: Jury Street (A429 the main road) itself, by the castle wall, in side streets towards St Mary's Church, or in various car parks eg P1, P2 P3 P4 :https://www.warwickdc.gov.uk/info/20547/warwick_car_parks/946/warwick_car_parks_map. It has not been a serious problem before.

Warwick is a major tourist centre, and very close to Stratford. There are many hotels and B&B's within walking distance. The Falstaff, 10 minutes drive away, costs £56.50 for a standard double with breakfast.

The 8th January sees the restart of   Tango Warwick's Wednesday practicas & social dancing at Warwick SPACE 71 Coten End, Warwick,CV34 4NU. Totally informal, friendly  atmosphere, small numbers, helpful people, lots of welcome-all for £5. Do come!
