No Tango Spa!/ Classes/ special milongas

Luis & Elizabeth's classes at St Mary's will be as usual this Friday; and no doubt as usually stimulating and enjoyable for all levels. It is  followed by a lively practica with Ann Nunn as DJ. Details below. A good evenings tango in a welcomimg environment awaits you!

Ricardo Peixoto will  DJ for the April Milonga "La  Ideal", when we have special guest, multi-award winning  eg "best tango singer of decade"  (twice!) Guillermo Fernández . Guillermo is celebrating 50 years with Tango, he has worked alongside with Astor Piazzolla, Lucio Demare, Anibal Troilo among others. Unmissable!

Very sadly we are having to not go ahead with the Tango Spa festival this October. After months of delays Just Inspire, the agency in control of the Leamington Spa Pump rooms, finally  came up with a price which made it quite unfeasible for us to continue. We  are both sad and angry at what happened, and the way it happened. 

In any case we apologise very much to those of you who made plans to come. I know some of you already booked rooms, and changed holiday plans.  We are also most grateful to Ricardo & Jenny Oria who have been extremely understanding and supportive during this saga.

Usual details for classes on March 29th:

  • 6.30pm to 7.30pm Essential Tango Techniques {Please arrive  a bit before the start if you possibly can, to help  the class to begin on time.} 

  • 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm  Improvers & Essential Tango techniques 

  • 8.15 for 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm  Intermediates 

  • 9.30 (approx) to 10.30 (approx)   Practica.  DJ Ann Nunn

  • Teachers:  Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock

  • Prices: 6.30pm class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with Improvers class £10 (£8). 

    Other classes £8 (£6) for one, £12 (£10) for the whole evening. Practica: Free with classes, otherwise £2.

  • WHERE: St Mary's Church 

    St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa, 

    CV31 1JW.  

    It is in the church hall next to the traditional looking church towards the south end of St Mary's Rd. There is a car park by the side of the church and when that is full there is usually ample parking on the nearby roads. Also close to bus routes.
