Milonga classes/beginners/ Tango Warwick @ Warwick in October

This Friday Luis & Elizabeth give more milonga excitement to the Improvers' & the Intermediates'  classes at St Mary's. The 6.30 class will cater especially for the beginners who started recently, but will be of interest to dancers of all levels: are you sure you can do your adornments as well as our rather new beginners???

 A lively practica/ social dance will round off the the evening, with some cake, wine, and soft drinks.  Visitors welcome! it will be an enjoyable, instructive, evening in a friendly and supportive environment: come if you can!  Usual details below.

To pencil in your diary: Sadly there will be no Tango Spa this year, but on Friday 11th  & Saturday 12th October we plan to highlight the delights of Warwick, rather than Leamington, aided on Saturday by two of our favourite teachers and performers. The October milonga La Ideal will be on Friday 11th (a week late)  at the gorgeous Warwick Courthouse Ballroom; on Saturday afternoon there will be two workshops at St Nicholas's Church by the lower entrance to the Castle (and the lovely Mill Gardens), plus nearly 4 hours of tango at the medieval Great Hall of Lord Leycester Hospital. On Saturday evening there will be a milonga with performance by our maestros at Warwick's answer to the Sunderland Club, Warwick SPACE.

 It's an occasion for you to persuade your tango  friends from far afield to come and combine tango with tourism, maybe even a visit to Stratford.

  • 7.15 pm to 8.15 pm  Improvers Milonga & Essential Tango Techniques

  • 8 15 for 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm  Intermediates Milonga

  • 9.30 (approx) to 10.30 (approx)   Practica.

  • Prices: 6.30pm class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with Improvers class £10 (£8). 

    Other classes £8 (£6) for one, £12 (£10) for the whole evening. Practica: Free with classes, otherwise £2.

    It is in the church hall next to the traditional looking church towards the south end of St Mary's Rd. There is a car park by the side of the church and when that is full there is usually ample parking on the nearby roads. Also close to bus routes.
