Guest teachers Hernan & Flavia/New Beginners/ March Milonga/ Diary

On Friday 14th we are delighted to welcome Hernan Alvarez Pieto & Flavia Morari as guest teachers for classes at St Mary's. There will be two classes. The first at 7pm for all levels from improvers up: not for absolute beginners, sorry! 

More about these distinguished dancers below, but if you saw them at our milonga on Friday you will believe it will be most enjoyable & instructive. In any case you may enjoy seeing their performance at Saturday's Oxford Milonga:

Timing: 7pm-8 pm: All levels from Improvers up

8.15 pm-9.15 pm: Intermediates

9.15 (approx)-10.30 (approx): Practica, DJ Ann Nunn.

Cost: £8 (£5 student with student Id) for one class, £12(£10) for both. Practica free with classes, otherwise £2.

Where:St Mary's Church, St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa, CV31 1JW, Leamington Spa. Good car park + lots of on-street parking.

There will be the usual warm welcome to visiting tangueros, as well as regulars and intermitters. The evening will finish with a lively practica with some wine, nibbles, and fine cordials, and with Ann Nunn as DJ, to give a very good evening of tango and an enjoyable night out!

Milonga Ideal (March Edition) will be hosted by Warwick University Argentine Tango Society and embedded in a mini-festival organised by them. More later.

  • Friday 1st May: 8.30-00.30: Milonga La Ideal with live music by Tango Calor quartet & DJ Mabel Gomez, Warwick SPACE

  • Friday 23rd -Sunday 26th October. Tango Spa with Jenny & Ricardo Oria, and lots of dancing! Royal Spa Pump Rooms & other venues to be announced. Usual sort of details.

Hernan Alvarez Pieto & Flavia Morari are passionate dancers dedicated to Tango, dance and culture. Hernan grew up and lives in Buenos Aires, where he started dancing from a very young age. Flavia began to dance at the age of 9, passing through various artistic diciplines and soon fell in love with the Argentine tango, following her trajectory she developed her dance in Buenos Aires.

Together they transmit the essence of tango.
