Tango Warwick classes, "welcome back" milonga , & September classes

Tango Warwick is moving most cautiously back to normal:

Diary:

  • Friday 27th August 6.15-10.00, classes for fixed couples with Luis Rodrigues & Elizabeth Knock. Advanced booking in couples required.

  • Friday 3rd September: Welcome Back milonguita "The Return". 7.30pm -10.30pm. Limited space so sign in in advance.

  • Fridays 10th, 17th, 24th September 6.30 -10.30 (approx): classes+ practica with Luis & Elizabeth.

  • Friday 1st October: Milonga "La Ideal" at Warwick SPACE.

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 29th-31st October: Tango SPArkle weekend event in fine venues in Warwick & Leamington.

All save Tango SPArkle at St Mary's Church Hall, St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa, CV31 1JW.

Covid safety requirements: For all events in September & for Tango SPArkle we will require participants be in a position to show they are fully vaccinated by the time of arrival, be willing to take a lateral flow test before arrival, and to take the usual precautions to avoid catching or spreading covid.

Our teachers Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock are based in London. See https://tangoynadamas.org for more about them. They teach tango to dance with socially, the music being of paramount importance. 6.15-7.15 Beginners couples.
7.30-8.30 Couples Improvers class
8.45-9.45 Couples Intermediate/Advanced class.
COST: £10 pp for one class, £5 for each additional class if available.
TEACHERS:Elizabeth Knock & Luis Rodriguez.

Only tango couples booking together will be considered. Partners do not need to be the same on every occasion.

OUR COVID SAFETY rules must be strictly followed (even though national restrictions have been lifted!):
Classes are for fixed partners only.

Please bring your own water or refreshments.
You will need to give track & trace info on arrival, either via the government QR code or manually.
You must use face coverings on arrival, in the corridors, foyer, & toilets, but no need during the class or when socialising.
Hand sanitisers are available but we recommend washing hands in the bathroom on arrival and in between classes.

Friday 3rd September: Welcome Back milonga "The Return".

At St Mary's, where Tango Warwick used to have milongas, from 7.30 to 10.30 pm. Cost £12 pp.

Some wine & soft drinks & nibbles will be provided, but BYO if you want to be sure. There will be a warm & very cheerful welcome, and good music. St Mary's has been revamped and now has good acoustics and a nice floor. We don't want the room to be too crowded so please say that you are coming either on the FB event page (to be posted before the end of this week) or by emailing tangowarks @gmail.com subject "Milonga The Return" . If it gets full I'll stop any more bookings. Note covid safety requirements mentioned above.

Prices: Beginners Class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with improvers class £12 (£10)
Other classes £10 (£8) for one, £15 (£12) for the whole evening.
Practica: Free with classes otherwise £2 (£4)
