Milonga classes! & practica/ Milonga La Ideal
Tango Warwick Classes & Practica continue this week as once usual, and with Luis Rodrigues & Elizabeth Knock.
However this week they will concentrate on milonga from 7.30 pm. You do not need to bring a partner, and beginners are most welcome at 6.30 pm; see below for details,BUT as for our Milongas and Tango SPArkle we impose stronger covid entry conditions than many other places:
BASIC COVID ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: participants must be able to show they have been fully vaccinated and had a negative lateral flow test on the day.An easy way to do the latter is to bring your test strip in a clear plastic bag, but the email or text from the NHS is fine. For St Mary's classes, exceptionally, the nhs covid pass suffices if you are dancing only with a fixed partner. An NHS covid domestic pass valid for a week after the event can be used for the vaccination requirement.

Milonga Ideal is back! in SPACE on October 1st with Ricardo Peixoto as DJ. 8 pm to midnight. Otherwise as usual, eg no partner needed, cabaceo encouraged, ..., apart from the entry requirements. Details later.

DETAILS ABOUT THE CLASSES:
Beginners should join the 6.30 pm class, and absolute beginners are welcome in September. Experienced dancers also join it in order to perfect their techniques, and help bring on beginners.
The 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm classes are for more experienced dancers (in Argentine Tango)-if that fits you please come-you will get a warm welcome. They will concentrate on milonga this week.
The evening is completed by a sociable practica, with some wine, soft drinks and cake. It should all be instructive, friendly, and enjoyable.

The teachers are our superb "resident" teachers: Luis Rodriguez and Elizabeth Knock. Their emphasis on elegance and musicality and with dancing in milongas in mind has made them justly popular. They are enthusiastic about milonga, emphasising its difference from tango.
They are based in London. See https://tangoynadamas.org for more about them. They are often available for private or semi-private classes on Saturdays. For this please contact them via Luisyelitango@gmail.com
