Milonga La Ideal Friday 4th March.
Milonga La Ideal, DJ Ricardo Peixoto, at Warwick SPACE:
The March edition of Tango Warwick's monthly milonga is this Friday.
We will be at home again in the recently refurbished Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a good floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.
The DJ is our resident DJ and co-founder of Tango Warwick: Ricardo Peixoto. To quote an unsolicited FB comment concerning this:
"Superb DJ. You're in for a real treat, Warwick!"
(though unauthenticated to the extent I have not checked the writer has ever heard Ricardo). We are in for a treat--so please do come if you can and share it: you will find a friendly atmosphere, good vibes, and lovely dances waiting to be had.
Covid entry conditions (see below) will be enforced, but otherwise it will be the joyful, welcoming and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love.
There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors and once regulars alike.
Time: 8pm to midnight.
Place: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
Cost (at door) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). In cash. Prebooking not required but see covid entry requirements below.
WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and
A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.3 miles away, inexpensive, but generally found adequate. Some swear by its breakfast.
PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.
COVID ENTRY CONDITIONS (March 4th) : To enter you must either be able to show that you have had a negative lateral flow test on 4th March (eg by producing the plastic strip) or that you are double vaccinated and have had a positive test between Christmas 2021 and 22nd January. We would prefer you to have been doubly vaccinated, or have certified antibodies.
It is important to realise that these requirements reduce the possibility of infection but do not remove it.

Looking forward to seeing you and sharing the treat!
