Tango Warwick Classes in July/ Tango Baires/ Diary

Luis & Elizabeth's classes for Tango Warwick, and Practica, continue in St Mary's this Friday 8th July, and until further notice. Beginners can be catered for at the first class at 6.30, and will be welcomed. The usual details etc apply, and can be found repeated below. Ann Nunn will DJ the practica.

Tango Baires Milonga Saturday 9th July our sister organisation Tango Baires holds a "Summer Embrace Milonga" at St Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, Warwick, CV34 6AB

It will start with a pre-milonga class by Nicolas Ignacio Godoy and Cintia Morea from Argentina. The class is intended for all level students except absolute beginners.

Our Dj for the evening will be Juan de Scarfo who will play mainly traditional tango music and some tandas from currently trending orchestras in Argentina.

Usual details for July 8th:

We welcome single dancers as well as couples, newcomers as well as those we haven't seen for months, irregulars and regulars alike.

Beginners should join the 6.30 pm class. Experienced dancers also join it in order to perfect their techniques, and help bring on beginners.
The 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm classes are for more experienced dancers (in Argentine Tango)- if in doubt ask the teachers-and if that fits you please come-you will get a warm welcome.

The evening is completed by a sociable and lively practica, with some wine, soft drinks and cake, and with guest DJ Ann Nunn. It will be instructive, friendly, and a very enjoyable evening's dancing.

The teachers are our superb "resident" teachers: Luis Rodriguez and Elizabeth Knock. Their emphasis on elegance and musicality and with dancing in milongas in mind has made them justly popular.

COVID PRECAUTIONS (July): Despite the increased prevalence of covid in England we will not ask for proof of negative test, unless it gets even worse. However if you have had a reasonable possibility of being infected, eg by going on public transport, or visiting a crowded pub, or if you have any likely symptoms, please do take a test as near to the start time as possible, or do not come.
