Argentine Tango Classes with Michele Scarlino & Elizabeth Knock:
We are very happy to welcome Michele Scarlino as guest teacher to join Elizabeth Knock this Friday at St Mary's.
Michele Scarlino is from Italy and lives in London. He has been dancing since 2008, studying primarily with Luis Rodriguez. He has spent extended periods in Buenos Aires, where he deepened his love for the traditional aspects of tango and took classes with a wide range of teachers. He has taught in Italy with Francesca Mergoni and Yalet Suarez (former European Tango Salon Champion), and in London he was resident teacher at Carablanca Tango Club with Ewa Zbreska, also collaborating with Tango Space. Michele teaches with a focus on the three C's: Caminar (walking), Conexion (the depth of the embrace), and Compas (the pulse of the music). For him, tango isn't about getting from A to B - it's about everything that happens between, while listening to the music and to your partner.
Do come along if you can: it should be a very enjoyable evening of tango!

TIMING:
6.30pm-7.30 Tango Fundamentals including beginners. Please arrive a few minutes early to start on time.
7.15-8.15 Fundamentals and improvers class;
8.15 pm for 8.30-9.30 Intermediate/advanced class;
9.30-10.30pm (approx) Practica.
PRICES:
6.30 class £8 (£5 for students with student Id), together with improvers class (and practica) £12 (£8)
7.15 class only: £10 (£5),
8.30 class +practica £12 (£6)
£15 (£10) for the whole evening.
Practica only: £3 (£4)

You do not need to come with a partner.
We welcome single dancers as well as couples, newcomers as well as those we haven't seen for months, irregulars and regulars alike.
Beginners are welcome and should join the 6.30 pm Argentine tango class.
Experienced dancers also join the 6.30 pm class in order to perfect their techniques, and help bring on beginners.
The 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm classes are for more experienced dancers (in Argentine Tango). If there can be any doubt about your level, especially for the 8.30 class, please ask the teachers.
The evening is completed by a sociable and lively practica/social dance, with some wine, fine cordials, and cake. It will be instructive, friendly, and a very enjoyable evening's dancing. You are welcome to stay for the practica even if not doing the later classes: you can read, dream,... or visit a nearby pub (the nearby New Inn, CV31 1DW is in the Good Beer Guide).
