Classes with Dante Culcuy & Chris-special timing!/ practicas/milonga

Classes this Friday 17th January are with guest teachers Dante Culcuy & Chris Benson. They start at 7 pm not 6.30pm ;see below for the details.

Dante is a brilliant teaching and dancer and has been much appreciated on previous visits to Tango Warwick. With his Oxford Tango Academy he has brought numerous illustrious dancers, anmd others, from Argentina and elsewhere to Britain giving us the opportunties to have them teach us or perform at our milongas. It has been very good having him as tango neighbour! It will be a special additional pleasure to welcome Chris Benson for her Tango Warwick debut. Chris is a teacher at the LP Tango Academy in London. She and Dante will perform at our Milonga La Ideal on Friday 7th February.

For 17th January there will only be two classes each evening. We will not be catering for new beginners-sorry!
At 7pm there will be a class suitable for improvers level and above. This can also serve as a time for improving the all important basic techniques. At 8.15 there will be the usual intermediates class restricted to more experienced dancers.

Newcomers and visiting tango dancers will be made very welcome; and afterwards there is a practica/ social dancing session with DJ Ann Nunn, and with some wine , soft drinks, and cake, to round up an enjoyable and instructive evening. For those having a dry January we have interesting cordials as well as dryish white wine.

The practica is after the third class but is open and free to those who have done any of the classes (and a nominal charge to others).

Here is the timing for Friday 17th January:

7.00 pm to 8.00 pm (approx) Improvers onwards {Please arrive a bit before the start if you possibly can, to help the class to begin on time.}

8.15 pm to 9.15 pm (approx) Intermediates.

9.15 (approx) to 10.30 (approx) Practica DJ Ann Nunn

Prices: Individual Classes £8 (£5 for students with student Id), £12 (£8) for the whole evening.

Practica: Free with classes otherwise £2

WHERE: St Mary's Church St Mary's Rd, Leamington Spa, CV31 1JW. It is in the church hall next to the traditional looking church towards the south end of St Mary's Rd. There is a car park by the side of the church and when that is full there is usually ample parking on the nearby roads. Also close to bus routes.
