Absolute Beginners & other Tango classes , 6th Aug.

Greetings once more from Tango Warwick. How nice it was to dance in a ronda last Friday-and to celebrate together with some prosecco !

There will be no classes this Friday 30th July.
There will be no milonga La Ideal on Friday 6th August.

BUT on Friday 6th August there will be classes at St Mary's by Luis Rodrigues & Elizabeth Knock with the 6.15 pm class devoted to absolute beginners. The later classes for more experienced dancers will be as now usual: see below. Sadly all are for fixed partners only, and we will stick with that until the covid level becomes less high. Even after that we will probably require double vaccination plus a negative lateral flow test for a while.

If you know of couples who might benefit from taking up tango please encourage them to join. Advanced booking is essential, with limited numbers to give plenty of room.

Our teachers Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock are based in London. See https://tangoynadamas.org for pictures & videos of them in performance. They teach tango to dance with socially, the music being of paramount importance.

They are often available for private or semi-private classes on Saturdays.

Please contact them via Luisyelitango@gmail.com

Only tango couples booking together will be considered. Partners do not need to be the same on every occasion.
OUR COVID SAFETY rules must be strictly followed (even though national restrictions have been lifted!):

Please arrive 5 or so minutes early and wait at door to be admitted
Classes are for fixed partners & booked in advance only.

Please bring your own water or refreshments.
You will need to give track & trace info on arrival, either via the government QR code or manually.
You must use face coverings on arrival, in the corridors, foyer, & toilets, but no need during the class.
Hand sanitisers are available but we recommend washing hands in the bathroom on arrival and in between classes.

Please do not congregate in the foyer or corridors: they are not well ventilated.

Only one person may be in the gent's at any time, and at most 2 in the ladies.

Please leave through the back entrance.

Please do not attend a class if you are displaying any of the following symptoms: a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
If you are feeling at all unwell in other ways possibly related to the delta variant, (eg headache, sore throat) please follow what many consider standard practice and take a lateral flow test before setting out.

Please let me know if it turns out you have to cancel.

ORGANISATION: You will be shown a seat to change shoes etc. During the classes you will move up and down, or around, the room, avoiding crowding other couples.

In general use your most cautious bits of common sense! we really do want to start dancing together soon...

DRESS: Loose clothing is best, otherwise anything goes-see photos (of students, not teachers!).
SHOES: its best to have soles which can slide and slip on the floor, rather than rubber soles. Ladies often like an inch or so of heel, but lots use flat shoes. Comfort is important, but it's inconvenient for you if your shoes fall off.

Hope to see you, or your beginning friends!
David (For Tango Warwick).
