Milonga La Ideal August Edition & Commonwealth Games

No Tango Warwick Classes this Friday.* 

It's time for the August edition of our monthly milonga.

Tangueros visiting for the Commonwealth Games especially welcome!

For this, we have our resident, and brilliant DJ, Ricardo Peixoto.

We will be at home in the refurbished Warwick SPACE. It is a large room with a good floor, in a space reminiscent of Buenos Aires' Sunderland Club (some say), and with great acoustics.

There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.

We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!

It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming and lively milonga tango dancers have come to love. 

Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors and once regulars alike.

Time: 8pm to midnight.
Place: Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU.
Cost (at door) : £12 (£8 for students with student card). In cash. Prebooking not required. 

WARWICK SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick; next to the Black Pug pub, aka Millwright Arms, and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. I fear they will be full though because of the Games: a major cycle race goes past SPACE on Sunday.

PARKING is mostly on road, especially towards Warwick on the main road or Smith Street (one way, going East), on back streets (not very easy), or towards Warwick station. The St Nicholas Park car park is about 10 minutes walk away but you probably could do with a torch on the way back.

COVID PRECAUTIONS (August)  The prevalence of covid is very high at the moment, and we encourage you to take a test as close to the event as you can, unless you have strong reasons to believe you are not infected eg ???? , and anyway to not come if you have covid type symptoms.
