Tango Warwick in the summer

Tango Warwick events will continue through the summer:

Classes by Luis Rodriguez & Elizabeth Knock at St Mary's +Practica are on Fridays save for the first Friday of each month (details below). On July 21st the emphasis from 7.30 pm will be on Vals.

 The Totally Informal Space practica/ social dancing will continue throughout July on Wednesdays from 8.15 to 10.15 (details below).

The August edition of Milonga La Ideal on 4th August will be very special, with a performance by the tango singer, superstar Guillermo Fernandez. It will be preceded by a pre-milonga class by Dante Culcuy with Lilie. (Details later, or see https://fb.me/e/Fj7gQEKh)

Wednesday informal practicas/ social dancing at Warwick SPACE:

These are totally informal. Timing: 8.15 to 10.15 pm, Wednesday evenings
at Warwick SPACE, 71 Coten End, Warwick CV34 4NU

cost £5 in cash.

Come along for as long as you like when you like.

No need to come with a partner. All who have done some tango classes welcome, newcomers and returners especially so.

It is not a class but there are usually experienced dancers there who are happy to be encouraging and helpful if the occasion arises.

Come and enjoy some practice, or some sociable dancing, some music, some cheerful company, some fine cordials, perhaps even a sip of prosecco or related. You can also BYOB.

Beginners should join the 6.30 pm Argentine tango class.

If you have been thinking of taking up real Argentine Tango : there is still time to join !
If you have been away from tango for a few weeks or years: why not come back now?
Warwick Tango's classes & practica with Luis & Elizabeth give you Friday evenings full of friendly people and exciting classes. They come with the promise of wonderful social events, almost anywhere in the inhabited world.

You do not need to come with a partner.

We welcome single dancers as well as couples, newcomers as well as those we haven't seen for months, irregulars and regulars alike.

Experienced dancers also join the 6.30 pm class in order to perfect their techniques, and help bring on beginners.

The 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm classes are for more experienced dancers (in Argentine Tango). If there can be any doubt about your level, especially for the 8.30 class, please ask the teachers.

Week by week we follow the sequence used in traditional milongas (tango social dances); TTMTTVTTM...where T=tango, M=milonga (the dance, not the social event), V=tango vals, so that the milonga & vals do not get neglected. In July the emphasis on Vals will be from 7.30pm on Friday

The evening is completed by a sociable and lively practica/ social dancing, with some wine, soft drinks and cake. It will be instructive, friendly, and a very enjoyable evening's dancing. You are welcome to stay for the practica even if not doing the later classes: you can read, dream,... or visit a nearby pub.

The teachers are our superb "resident" teachers: Luis Rodriguez and Elizabeth Knock. Their emphasis on elegance and musicality and with dancing in milongas in mind has made them justly popular.

6.30-7.30 Fundamentals. Please arrive a a few minutes early to start on time.
7.15-8.15 Fundamentals and improvers class;
8.15pm for 8.30-9.30 Intermediate/Advanced;
9.30-10.30 (approx) Practica,
