You are invited to come and enhance the January 2025 edition of Tango Warwick’s monthly traditional milonga.
Tango Warwick's milonga welcoming in 2025 will take place in the lovely St Nicholas' Church in Warwick, with the very welcome return of Ewa Zbrzeska*** as guest DJ, and on the 9th Day of Christmas by some count.
There will be some nibbles, soft drinks, fine cordials, and wine for early arrivers, but BYOB if you wish.
We encourage good tango, nice ronda and cabeceo!
It will be the friendly, joyful, welcoming, and lively milonga, tango dancers have come to love. Above all there will be a warm welcome for visitors, occasionals, and regulars alike. Our True Love's present of 9 dancing ladies will be most suitable whether they be followers or leaders or both.

The cost will be £15 pp ( £10 for students with student card). Payments at door are IN CASH only!
***EWA ZBRZESKA: London based, originally from Poland, Ewa has been regularly DJing at leading London milongas, and has played at various major UK & European events. Many of you will already know her and love her choice of music.
*St NICHOLAS' CHURCH: is down the hill beside the castle wall on the east side of Warwick, opposite the castle gates by the roundabout, adjacent to the vast St Nicholas car park****.
It is a lovely venue with good floor, and rarely available.
It is a short walk from Warwick Railway Station, and not far from M40 and A46. There are several hotels & B&B's nearby in this tourist area. The Castle Limes Hotel is a few minutes away. The Jephson in Leamington is about 1.4 miles away, fairly inexpensive, but generally found adequate. Some swear by its breakfast. Kenilworth hotels are a short drive away.
****PARKING is not generally available in the Church grounds. However the large St Nicholas Park, CV34 4QY, car park is adjacent, with a path leading directly into the churchyard and church entrance. The path begins near the back of the New Bowling Green pub. A night's parking, 6 pm to 8 am, costs £2.20.
The car entrance to the car park is on the left a short distance past the church on the A425; before the bridge. You could try for free on road parking in St Nicholas' Church Street or over the bridge and turn right into a warren of roads, (I wouldn't! ), or try a bit further away eg Smith Street or towards Warwick Space on the road to Leamington, but the one way system does not help.
TOURISM: Warwick Castle is holding special "Light Trails" in late afternoon/ early evening. I have no personal knowledge of them though.

HEALTH: Please do not come if you feel you could be infectious, especially if you think it is only flu!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
David, for Tango Warwick
PS: Raquel Greenberg will return as guest teacher at St Mary's, Leamington Spa, on Fridays 10th & 17th January, from 6.30 pm. Details shortly.
